Ivory Coast Removes Al Hilal’s Goalkeeper

The technical staff of the Ivory Coast national team has removed Al Hilal Sudan goalkeeper Issa Fofana from the main roster representing Côte d’Ivoire in the African Nations Championship, which will be held early next January.

Al Hilal’s main goalkeeper was included in the initial roster of the Ivory Coast national team that is organizing the African Cup of Nations, but the young goalkeeper was excluded from the starting lineup chosen by the technical staff.

Fofana is the preferred goalkeeper of Sudanese Al Hilal coach Florent Ibenge, who relies on him more in his squad than the national team player Ali Abu Eshreen.
