There is an active musical movement in the city of Port Sudan, at the level of individuals and musical groups that celebrate independence days through national songs. The musician Al-Safi Mahdi, Teaching Staff of music composition at the College of Music and Drama in Port Sudan, presented a musical operetta in which the city’s Union of Musical Professions participated and a number of Khartoum city singers also participated in it among whom Omer Ehsas, Adul Musalam, Saif Al-Jamaa and others. The group also works to receive singers in the state and accommodate them in the Union Club.
