Pledges to Support Mining Host Communities

The Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC), Mohamed Taher Omar, pledged to support all service projects for local communities hosting mining activity in the states, calling for choosing projects with sustainable effect to serve citizens in the fields of water, health and education.
During a celebration organized by the local community represented by the leaders of the Arfoyab Omodiaya and the “Klanayeeb” Youth Association, during which the senior management of SMRC Limited was honored and contributions of the “Klanayeeb” community in facilitating the tasks of investors and stabilizing work in the field of mining in the Red Sea State were appreciated.
For his part, Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, Osman Suleiman, expressed his happiness with the completion of the project and the provision of drinking water to citizens in the region, stressing his backing and support for all projects that would serve communities and alleviate their suffering in obtaining services. He thanked the leaders of the region for their follow-up and interest in the project until it reached its conclusion.
