Finance Minister Discusses Reconstruction

The committee for preparing an economic vision for the post-war period, reconstruction and compensation, in its second meeting on Saturday evening, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, discussed how to conduct reconstruction and compensation by reviewing the experiences of some developed and regional countries that went through similar experience.
The meeting took the example of Germany, Hungary, South Africa, Poland, Rwanda, according to a press release by the Ministry of Finance, which added that the meeting was briefed on the preparation steps across the committee’s various themes , with each head of the subcommittee presenting their progress reports.
The committee is expected to come up with an integrated economic and social strategy and vision in the areas of economic recovery, basic services for the productive sectors, humanitarian affairs, social reconciliation, foreign economic relations, business and compensation projects.
