It has been official confirmed that Liverpool will lose its English international star, Trent Alexander-Arnold, for several weeks due to the injury he recently sustained.
British newspaper the Sun reported that Arnold, Liverpool’s full-back, suffered a knee injury and will be out of action for several weeks.
For his part, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp’s assistant, Pep Lynds, said in a press conference on Tuesday: “Trent suffers from a slight tear in the lateral ligament in his knee and will need time to recover.”
He added: “He will be absent for about three weeks. It is a big blow to us because he is one of our most important players.”
Lindes confirmed: “Dominik Soboslaj will also not participate against Fulham due to injury.”
Arnold will therefore miss a group of important matches for Liverpool in the coming period, which will represent another strong blow to his coach Jurgen Klopp, who is already suffering from many absences, most notably Mohamed Salah, who is committed to participating with the Egyptian national team in the Africa Cup of Nations, whose competitions begin in Côte d’Ivoire at the beginning of the tournament. From next Friday.
Liverpool is preparing to face Fulham tomorrow, Wednesday, in the first leg of the semi-finals of the English League Cup.
