Esperance Negotiates with Portuguese Coach Oscar

Tunisian club Esperance has entered into advanced negotiations with Portuguese coach Oscar Cardoso in preparation for taking over the technical helm of the first football team competing in the African Champions League.

According to the sources, the Tunisian club is close to finalizing the deal and announcing the agreement with Portuguese coach Oscar, succeeding technical director Tariq Thabet, who is likely to leave the technical fence for the Beni Souiqa champion.

The Portuguese coach Cardoso had experiences with a number of clubs, including Shakhtar Moscow, AEK Athens in Greece, Nantes in France, Celta Vigo in Spain, Porto and Benfica in his native Portugal.

Esperance of Tunisia occupies second place with 6 points, behind Angola’s Petro Atletico, who leads Group C in the African Champions League.
