Manara Water Station Resumes Pumping

The Khartoum Water Authority on Monday announced the end of drinking water shortage and the resumption of pumping from Al-Manara Water Station.
The Khartoum authorities have secured quantities of water purification materials, ensuring water supply to all areas covered by the Al-Manara Water Station.
Water pumping was halted for several days due to the depletion of purification materials.
The General Director of the Authority, Advisor Engineer Mohamed Ali Al-Ajab, stated in a press circular that shipments of water purification materials arrived thus ending the crisis and the suffering of citizens.
He said stability of the water supply in the state a major challenge at the present time. He said that engineers, technicians and workers are working twenty-four-hour-seven -days in the stations to address broken pipes and fracture in the transmission lines under highly complex security situations, still efforts continue unabated to sustain water supply in the state despite the war conditions
