Sudan-Iran: Measures to Reopen Embassies

The Sudanese Minister for Foreign Affairs on Saturday reviewed with the First Vice President of the Republic of Iran, Mohamed Mukhbir, means for restoring bilateral relations and speeding up measures for reopening embassies in the two countries.

The office of the Ministry’s Spokesman and head of the Media Department, has pointed out in a statement that the minister met this morning with the Iranian official on the margin of the nonaligned movement currently in session in the Ugandan capital of Kampala.

He said the two officials reviewed the relations between the two countries and means of boosting them further and way of cementing cooperation and coordination at the bilateral, regional and international levels.

The office said the two sides have also discussed the means that would help restore the bilateral relations between the two countries and the steps needed to reopen embassies in each country.
