West Kordofan: Summer Season Succesful by 57%

The Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in West Kordofan State has approved the final report for the past agricultural season after the first and second agricultural survey operations were successfully completed.
Director of the Planning Department at the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in the state, agricultural engineer Manzoula Jumaa Mohammed, stated that the success rate of the season reached 57%, and she attributed this percentage to the security situation and the societal instability. She added that the 57% rate could cover the need for three months, but she pointed to the importance of taking into account the movement of displacement due to the war that the country is witnessing, which requires finding support from organizations and other parties.
The head of the technical committee of the Supreme Committee for the agricultural season in the state, agricultural engineer Mahmoud Ismail Ahmed,on Monday, said that the final report for the past agricultural season included production in various agricultural crops and the situation of food security and consumption, pointing to the efforts made by the state government and the engineering cadres working in the ministry, which contributed to the success of the season despite the challenges that faced it, including the security situation.
For his part, the Director-General of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in the state, Agricultural Engineer Abdul Rahman Tahamid, confirmed that the agricultural surveys went on in an optimal manner. He said that his ministry formed committees whose mission is to promote and develop performance through early preparation for the next season. Tahamid stressed that the success of the agricultural season depends on security and societal stability, expressing his hope for Peace, security and stability be achieved in all parts of the country.
