Khartoum: Unprecedented Fuel Prices Rise

Fuel prices have witnessed an unprecedented increase in the capital, Khartoum, as a result of the cessation of production following the targeting by the Rapid Support Militia (RSF) of the oil refinery in Al-Geili, north of Khartoum, in addition to import decline.
The price of a gallon of benzene rose to 40,000 pounds, while the price of a gallon of gasoline reached 20,000 pounds. The price of a gallon of benzene prior to the outbreak of the outbreak of war in mid-April 2023 did not exceed 3,600 Sudanese pounds.
The Ministry of Energy made amendments in August 2023 as the first amendment after the war, according to which the price of a liter of gasoline in Khartoum State rose to 630 pounds.
