African Nations: Four Coaches Leave their Seats

Four coaches left their seats inside the technical fence, after the end of the first stage of the African Nations Championship “Cannes”, the matches of which began on January 13 of this month in Ivory Coast..

The four coaches paid the price for the decline in the level of their teams and the achievement of disappointing results despite good preparation, and three of them resigned, while the fourth was dismissed.

At a time when the Ghanaian Federation disengaged from Irish coach Chris Hughtin, Algeria’s coach Djamel Belmadi submitted his resignation, followed by Belgian Tom Saintveit, coach of the Gambia national team, nicknamed the Scorpions, along with Jean-Louis Gancet, coach of Ivory Coast, the organizing country.

The four coaches’ teams did not achieve positive results, although three of them were primarily candidates to win the title of the 34th edition of the African Nations Championship.
