The Director of the Red Sea Navigation Company, Hatem Abdul-Rahman, has announced that the Houthi related developments on the Red Sea have direct impact on Sudan’s trade Red Sea trade, indicating in his statement to (Sudan Events) that the ships’ journey had become very long, so instead of arriving within 14 days, arrival became after about 25 days or 26 days, and he confirmed that this caused an increase in sea freight.
Revealing that all the major companies no longer work directly to the Port of Port Sudan, but rather unload the goods at the pivotal port of Jeddah and transport the goods via tributary ships from Jeddah to Port Sudan.
