Manchester United suffered a humiliating defeat in a secret training match, according to press reports on Thursday evening.
The Sun newspaper confirmed that Manchester United played a closed training match on Wednesday against Burnley at its Carrington training headquarters, which ended with the visiting team winning 3-1.
The newspaper added that the loss aroused the dissatisfaction of Manchester United fans, who directed their anger at the team and its coach Erik Ten Hag, especially since Burnley occupies the nineteenth and penultimate place in the English Premier League team standings.
