The Moroccan Football Federation confirmed the appeal of the “unjust” decision taken by the African Confederation against the “Lions” coach, Walid Regragui, against the backdrop of the events that accompanied the match between Morocco and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

According to a statement by the Moroccan Federation, the Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to suspend Regragui for four matches, two of which were suspended.

A statement published by the Moroccan Football Federation on its website said: “Following the unfair decision taken by the disciplinary committee of the Confederation of African Football against the national team coach, Walid Regragui, against the backdrop of the events that took place at the end of the match of the Moroccan national team against its counterpart from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, by decreeing RoundThe second of the African Cup of Football competitions in Côte d’Ivoire, which resulted in him being suspended for four matches, two of which were suspended, and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation decided to appeal the decision.

The Moroccan Federation stressed in its statement that it sees the CAF decision as incorrect, especially since the facts showed that Regragui did not commit any behavior that violates the spirit of sportsmanship.
