Scheduling War-affected Farmers Debts

The Acting Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Bank, Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Bushra, has directed the management of the Agricultural Bank to form a committee to study the conditions of farmers in the River Nile State affected by the war, to schedule debts and evaluate the situation for refinancing.

This was on the sidelines of his visit to the River Nile State, which began during the period from January 20 to January 23, 2024, during which he met with the directors of the branches of the Agricultural Bank, the River Nile Sector, in the presence of the Deputy Director General of the Agricultural Bank, Ezzedine Faqiri, in the River Nile State.The Acting Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Abu Bakr Omar, listened to an overview of the sector’s plan, the financing and payment position, and what has been accomplished in the sector on the River bNile. Al-Bushra praised the efforts of the branches in supporting the season and the effort made to finance farmers, commending the sector’s plan and the progress of its implementation.
