Khartoum: Gold Refinery Sustains Huge Losses

Informed sources have revealed that the Khartoum gold refinery suffered huge losses due to the ongoing war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Militia (RSF), that caused the total stoppage of the work at the refinery stopped ,since its outbreak in April 15. The sources told (Sudan Events), that this due to the fact that the refinery has expenbsive equipment, in addition to the treasury, besides the cessation of the refinery’s revenues throughout the war. But the sources could not give estimates as to how much the losses are, so far.
The sources indicated that the refinery is owned by the Central Bank of Sudan, which has currently begun erecting a new refinery in the River Nile State
