Identical sources revealed that the head of the leadership body for the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddum), Abdullah Hamdok, did not accompany the delegation that arrived in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, while they confirmed that the delegation’s meeting with the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, was postponed indefinitely.
(Al-Sharq) quoted its sources today (Wednesday) confirming that the meetings of President Salva Kiir and the Taqadum delegation were postponed indefinitely.
Press reports confirmed the arrival of the (Taqaddum) delegation, which includes Omar Al-Dakir, Babakir Faisal, Fadlallah Barma Nasser, Al-Wathiq Al-Barir and Suleiman Sandal, while Abdullah Hamdok did not attend, and while Hamdok’s absence was justified by the fact that he was ill, sources said that his absence was due to a lack of agreement on… The agenda presented in the meetings with President Salva Kiir.
In this context, the head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement SLAM Chairperson of the Political Committee of the Democratic Bloc, Minni Arko Minawi, arrived in Juba today, coming from Cairo, at the forefront of the bloc’s delegation scheduled to arrive next Monday.
Sources expected that the civil powers delegation in Juba would meet with the head of the SPLM-North, Abdul Aziz al-Hilu, and the head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, SLM/A Abdul Wahid Mohamed Nour, but they ruled out an agreement between the two movements and (Taqaddum).
