Sudanese Dramatists Syndicate: Calls for Ending the War

Sudanese Dramatists Syndicate issued a long statement signed by its president, Al-Rashid Ahmed Issa, clarifying the union’s position on the current situation in Sudan.
The statement emphasized that the unionists along the path of change are the tip of the spear because of the people’s confidence in them.
The statement pointed to the extent of the suffering experienced by dramatists through the presence of suffocation in the work environment under these conditions and the suspension of many activities for various reasons.
The migration and refuge of most dramatic cadres outside cities and homes. Quite a few of them were lost as a result of this damned war.
The arrests included some members of the arts some disappeared from membership in mysterious conditions.
The union calls on all its branches in all states and regions of Sudan and to every dramatist in all parts of the earth to call for peace through unity of ranks and speech, explaining that dramatists are an entity in and of themselves with an effective role.
The statement sent a message to the masses of the Sudanese people and to trade unionists , unions, and civil powers in their different formations to work to stop the continuation of the war, and called for unification in order to stop the war.
