Sherine’s Statements Anger the Sudanese
Sudan Events – Magda Hassan
The Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab’ statements angered the Sudanese on social networking sites, where Sherine said in an interview to journalist Mahmoud Mamlouk, editor-in-chief of the Cairo 24 website, that she has the title “Voice of Egypt” and recently addressed the singer Angham, who used the title (meaning, “You are the voice of Egypt and I am the voice.” Khartoum?!) Sherine added: The title of Voice of Egypt is not new to me and everyone introduces me to this title on all occasions.
Since my appearance in the first episode with the singer and media personality Esaad Younis in her program, she has been introducing me to the title of the first Voice of Egypt, but the fact that the singer Angham presented a concert in Saudi Arabia is her title.
Voice of Egypt this is something that does not belong to me and I certainly like it, but this has been my title since the beginning.
Many Sudanese commentators responded to her by saying that Khartoum is full of beautiful voices and does not need a voice from outside, enumerating many symbols of Sudanese art, led by the late giant Mohamed Wardi.
Some pointed out that Khartoum does not lack the voice of the singer, as the Sudanese do not harmonize with words and melodies, considering that peoples only harmonize. With its arts and heritage.
