Director Mohamed Al-Kordfani appreciated Malmo Arab Movie Festival, which hosted the screening of Goodbye Julia film at the opening, and said that Malmo Festival succeeded in bringing together all the important Arab movies of the year 2023.
He added: The audience of the city of Malmo in Sweden can watch all of these movies during the week of the festival, while the Arab audience is often unable to obtain this opportunity due to the first screening policy: We have four large festivals in the Arab world, each one of which rejects the film if it is shown in Any of the other festivals, and sometimes he refuses to show it even outside the competition. He said that this policy is neither in the interest of the viewer nor in the interest of the filmmakers, and perhaps not in the interest of the festivals themselves, particularly with the scarcity of independent cinema production in the area.
