Singer Abdel Wahab Wardi is active in publishing old musical works, sharing talks and memories on them with his followers on different social networking sites.
He participated in the song (Ask About Me), broadcast by Sudan TV in 2017, from the words of the poet Hashim Abbas Al-Jabali, and commented on the small number of orchestras, but they carried out the work with responsibility and skill befitting them as great musicians.
Abdul Wahab Wardi said that he had many works that combined him with the poet Hashim Abbas Al-Jabali, but they did not see the light.
He explained: I made a cassette tape in 2002 with songs written by Al-Jababi and Al-Hani. It was rejected from the works and they refused to approve it on the pretext that (the style is strange and does not resemble Sudanese music), and he explained in Within the framework of restrictions on him, he participated in several festivals and the result is the same because the approval committees are the same and their opinion is known.
(Oh, these same people are (technical losers), meaning artists by affiliation, meaning they are not talented, but (the pen is in their hand). I imagine that this is a flaw in the Sudanese character that has contributed a large share even to the terrible cycle that is tearing our country apart now.
