Sudan Events – Magda
Ambassador Ali Mahdi left Cairo to the Chinese city of Lanfang, participating in the World Theater Day celebrations .
Mahdi participated in the scientific meeting to celebrate the paper of
(Theater is a space for multiculturalism)
.He discussed multiculturalism, the diversity of performing arts forms, and the experience of Sudanese theater in combating conflict and brutality.
He said in a post on Facebook that theater is – and should be – a space that allows multiple cultures to conduct their renewed dialogue in a wide space, with all the opportunities available inside theater stages, or in public spaces, especially far from cities.
Dialogue alone accommodates intersectionality and other forms of diversity in societies that are in dire need
“For harmony, instead of it there is distancing that leads to war.”
He added, “My theater is not surrounded by a limited-sized performance stage, no matter how large it is, or a limited-capacity performance stage for a wide audience who longs for performing arts.”
He has acting, singing, music, dancing, and even some sports movements.
That is why we said in the founding document that the stage is narrow and does not accommodate the wide-ranging dream of celebration.”
