Khartoum Begins to Preserve Antiquities

Sudan Events – Nahid Oshi

An urgent meeting was held in Khartoum with the participation of the Khartoum State Security Authority on Saturday to deliberate on the best way to preserve antiquities after the Khalifa House Museum in Omdurman was subjected to systematic vandalism, looting, and organized theft that affected the most important possessions of historical leaders and rare manuscripts.
Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, said that it is no longer a secret that the true intentions of the terrorist militia are hidden, as the systematic and carefully selected attacks expose their intentions to erase the identity, history and legacy of the Sudanese nation, which was built by the founding fathers, the builders of civilization.
He added that the attack on Khalifa House Museum in Omdurman called for an urgent meeting.
He secured an expanded meeting on Sunday, in the presence of all relevant bodies.
