The return of Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Italian club Milan, in his new position as advisor to the board of directors, coincided with a major uprising for the Rossoneri team in various competitions during the current season.
Last December, Milan announced the return of Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic to work as chief advisor to the club’s owners.
The Football Italia website stated that Milan has recorded an impressive run of 16 victories from 22 matches in all competitions since the return of the legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic in an advisory role in December 2023.
Milan is currently enjoying a six-game winning streak in all competitions, having defeated Fiorentina, Hellas Verona, Empoli and Lazio in the league in recent weeks, in addition to two consecutive victories over Slavia Prague in the round of 16 of the European League.
Milan’s three draws since Ibrahimovic’s return came in the Italian League, against Salernitana in December, against Bologna in January, and against Atalanta in February.
Of those three defeats, one came in the second leg of the European League preliminary round against Rennes of France, and one came controversially against Atalanta in the Italian Cup and against Monza in the Italian League.
Milan is ranked second in the Italian League table during the current season with 65 points, behind Inter Milan, which is in the lead with 79 points.
