Rehabilitation of Transformational Power Stations in Khartoum Begins

The Supreme Committee for Emergency and Crisis Management in Khartoum State has announced the stability of services, which was reflected in the return of citizens to their homes.
The electricity representative in the committee explained that the current has stabilized after the problems of the transformers have been addressed and oils have been provided, and work will begin on the transformer stations. Meanwhile, Electricity began selling electricity through (3) offices, namely the office of (Nile City, Hara 10, Sabreen Market), and sales began in the commercial and service sectors in preparation for entering the residential sector. The electricity representative in the committee said that the authority had restored the advance payment system for electricity and described the system as important. Because it stops random connections, which lead to major malfunctions and frequent outages that the electricity sector witnesses, and free connection increases consumption and leads to out of service.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Khartoum State Water Authority reviewed the ongoing efforts to repair the main fault in the line transporting water to the Al-Qamair station. The meeting, which was completed on Wednesday, directed to expedite the import of conveyor line materials from outside the country and complete the treatment to stop wasting water and provide it to the neighborhoods of old Omdurman.
The meeting listened to an enlightenment by the Executive Director of Omdurman Locality about the program for the return of citizens to Omdurman, the progress of work in removing war remnants, collecting foreign objects and explosives, efforts to repair electricity lines, rehabilitate water stations, and operating bakeries where citizens are located.

Meanwhile, the meeting directed the Emergency Committee to monitor the flow of medicine to hospitals and health centers, especially emergency medicines and chronic diseases. The meeting directed the provision of fuel and pumps for the malaria control program.
