A protest against the demolition of Sinja Cinema

The camera of the “Give Back Organization for You, Sinja” monitored the beginning of the demolition of Sinja Cinema on Tuesday and Wednesday, starting with the main western gate (Al-Loj Gate), then the southern gate (People’s Gate), next to the windows on the western and southern sides.
Investigative journalist Al-Taj Osman, who is in Sinja, explained that Sinja Cinema is more than 70 years old, with a total area of ​​(2000) square metres, and was officially opened in 1959 AD, and the number of contributors to it are the sons, grandchildren and heirs of the founders of the cinema – who are among the most prominent notables of the city of Sinja – (1041) contributors.
He explained that the Sinja locality justified its intention to demolish the cinema by expiring the monopoly and not renewing it, while Dr. Osman Al-Sheikh, Secretary of the Board of Directors of Sinja Cinema Company said: We approached the former governors many times to renew the monopoly, but they ignored the matter. Sinja locality insists on demolishing the cinema despite the administrative appeal that we submitted to the Administrative Appeals Court of Sinnar State, which held (7) sessions after which the case was stopped due to the war. He revealed their intention to hold a protest inside the cinema campus to express the people of Sinja’s rejection of the demolition decision.
