The Sudanese Group for Victims of Enforced Disappearance during the War has confirmed that it will investigate the United Nations report, which confirmed the kidnapping of (160) women and girls by Rapid Support Forces (RSF) during the armed conflict, because cases of enforced disappearance may include some of the cases included in the report.
A member of the Sudanese group for victims of enforced disappearance during the war, Osman Al-Basri, said according to “Ultra Sudan” that the group will communicate with the families of the victims included in the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, about their abduction by RSF and its allied militias.
He added: “Among the kidnapped women may be women who were forcibly missing during the war, and we have been following up on these cases through the group’s work since the beginning of the war, so we will follow up and obtain additional information from the report.”
He added: “In the Sudanese group, we follow legal reports with the Public Prosecution, which requested that the complainant be from the family of the disappeared person.”

He further added: “With regard to the prosecution’s request that the complainant be from the family of the disappeared person, we have submitted a request to meet with the Public Prosecutor and we will talk to him about the presence of problems in this aspect, because some families are distributed among war zones and it is difficult for the complainant to appear in person before the prosecution if a complaint is filed.”
