A Sudanese-Russian Agreement to Coordinate Positions Internationally

Member of the Sovereign Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Naval Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, met in his office with Andrey Chernovo, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sudan.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between Sudan and Russia in all fields, and follow-up the results of the recent visit of the Russian Special Envoy to the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov to Sudan.

He stressed the importance of strengthening relations and developing prospects for cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Abdul Raouf Amer, Director of the Department of Peace and Humanitarian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed in a press statement that the meeting stressed the importance of strengthening and advancing relations in all fields and developing prospects for joint cooperation with Sudan, adding that the meeting discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination of positions between Sudan and the Russian Federation in international forums,  especially the United Nations.
