Customs forces in the city of Suakin have aborted a smuggling operation of four kilos of pure gold

The Director General of the Customs Forces, Lieutenant General Adam Al Nour, announced the introduction of modern detection devices and technologies in the near future at a number of border crossings and sea ports to modernize customs work and tighten control over all ports, praising the efforts of customs workers and their active role in protecting the national economy.

For his part, Director of the Osman Digna Customs Department, Brigadier General Ismat Ahmed Ali Oshik, explained that the seizure was made as a result of the close monitoring and vigilance enjoyed by the customs forces personnel, as one of the passengers was caught in the departure hall concealing inside his clothes nine gold bars, weighing about four kilograms, with a value of about (440) million Sudanese pounds), while legal measures were taken against the accused, stressing their continued efforts and making more efforts to protect the economy and combat smuggling.
