Casualties from Drone Attack in El-Obeid

The Sudanese army announced on Thursday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted several sites in El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, using strategic drones, resulting in the deaths of at least five civilians.

In a statement issued by Sudanese Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, he said:
“As part of their continued criminal behavior and defiance of international humanitarian law, a strategic drone—supplied to the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia by the United Arab Emirates—targeted locations within the city of El-Obeid, capital of North Kordofan State.”

He clarified that the bombed locations included the main market, the industrial area, and other civilian facilities, leading to the martyrdom of five civilians and injuries of others with varying degrees of severity.

The statement strongly condemned what it described as criminal behavior, stating:
“This reflects a persistent pattern of violations committed by the notorious militia against civilians and civilian infrastructure, with direct funding from the United Arab Emirates, under the watch of the international and regional community—without accountability or consequences.”
