HAC Reveals Circumstances of Darfur Relief Distribution in Khartoum
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) has revealed the circumstances of the distribution of relief allocated to the Darfur region in the capital, Khartoum. The commission said that the security conditions prevented the delivery of relief to the region.
HAC explained that the trucks in Al-Dabbah are actually part of the flour quota allocated to the Darfur region, and had moved on their way to the region nearly a month and a half ago, and due to the poor security conditions on the route specified for their arrival, the trucks stopped in the Al-Dabbah area.
HAC said in a circular that it allocated the flour shipment, which consists of (40) thousand sacks, to Khartoum State, at the rate of (30,000 sacks), the Northern State, at the rate of 5,000 sacks, and the River Nile State, at the rate of (5,000) sacks, to compensate for the share of the Darfur Regional Government in Later after the security situation improves.
