At seven in the evening today, the Theater of the Union of Writers and Artists in Port Sudan will witness the first performances of the play “Aslo Ma mumkin”
The play was written by Ashraf Bashir and directed by Faisal Hassan.
Participating in the acting are Abdel Salam Jalloud, Rifaat Al-Sir, Muhammad Al-Zaki, Nasiba Najm Al-Din, Naji Hawayatullah, Amer Hassan Amer, and Muzamil Abdel Qader.
The artistic operations and scenography are provided by Awad Zaitouneh and Mahmoud Idris, while stage management is assigned to production director Khaled Balla.
The show’s director, Faisal Hassan, says that the play deals with the Sudanese social reality with an absurd approach that creates paradox and deepens the questions with open endings.
Faisal believes that the absurdists are highly sensitive artists who were able to pick up signals 81 years ago and formulate from them their theory of the futility of life, “and this is what is happening now.”
Faisal adds that all the results that resulted from all wars, starting from the First World War and ending with the Second, are negative because they created a psychological state dominated by a lack of trust in others, which led to the isolation and individualism of the European person and his confrontation with the discourse of his hatred for the other.
