Al-Burhan: Gezira State to be Liberated Soon

The President of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, briefed on the progress of performance in Gezira Scheme and the ongoing preparations for the agricultural season.
Al-Burhan met in his office on Sunday with the Governor of Gezira Scheme, Ibrahim Mustafa Ali.
The Governor of Gezira Scheme explained in a press statement that the President of the Sovereign Council was reassured of the efforts made by the Sceme management to make the summer agricultural season a success.
He pointed out that Al-Burhan directed all relevant agencies to support the Scheme so that it could play its role in achieving food security for the people of Sudan, and promised a close visit to the scheme and the opening of the summer season.
The Governor of Gezira Scheme said that the President of the Sovereign Council confirmed during the meeting that the liberation of the Gezira State was imminent, and promised a comprehensive agricultural renaissance throughout the Scheme.
