On Monday, the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, issued an emergency order declaring a curfew and the closure of all shops, cafes or any other activities from ten in the evening until five in the morning, and a curfew for people and vehicles in the state from eleven in the evening until five in the morning. .
The matter comes in light of the security conditions and current conditions in the state and to preserve the lives and property of citizens.
He directed the regular forces and the prosecution to work to enforce the order and seize the means of transportation that are suspected of violating this order until the investigation and trial phases are completed, and to prohibit and regulate the movement and activity of people and the movement of objects and means of transportation, in addition to arresting suspected persons and searching places suspected of violating this matter.
The emergency order also stipulates that violators will be punished with imprisonment not exceeding six months or a fine not exceeding one million pounds. In the event of repeated violation of this order, the penalty will be doubled.
