Localization of Agricultural Manufacturing in Sennar

The Minister of Production and Economic Resources in Sennar State, Al-Hadi Al-Sadiq, has told farmers in the rain-fed, irrigated and horticultural sectors to establish a number of factories to localize the agricultural products industry in the state, with the aim of benefiting from production, increasing income, and providing opportunities for youth.
During his meeting with a number of companies operating in the state in the agricultural field, he stressed interest in the localization of cotton cultivation through the establishment of a number of ginneries in the localities after the success of rain-fed cotton, while reassuring farmers that his ministry had achieved many gains in terms of providing fuel, financing seeds, and establishing partnerships with a number of relevant parties in order to prepare early for the agricultural season.
He revealed that a number of understandings were concluded with companies to increase the areas that will be cultivated during the summer season and introduce new crops, in addition to absorbing a large number of workers with the aim of combating unemployment and employing a large number of sectors of society.
He stressed companies’ commitment to activating their role in supporting society.
