For the first time.. Sudan is Absent from Military Maneuvers in Saudi Arabia

Sudan Events – Special

Sudan was absent for the first time from the Red Wave exercise since its establishment in 2019, which are exercises held annually in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Red Wave exercise is considered a naval exercise for mixed forces from the countries bordering the Red Sea, namely Jordan, Egypt, Djibouti, Yemen and Sudan, in which branches of the armed forces participate, represented by the naval, land and air forces, units of the border guards, and forces from Jordan, Egypt, Djibouti and Yemen.
The forces participating in the maneuvers that took place on the fifth of this month carried out many combat exercises, such as surface and air warfare, electronic warfare, confronting attacks by speedboats, protecting maritime shipping lines, and combating smuggling, terrorism, piracy, and illegal immigration.
It is noteworthy that Sudan has been participating in these maneuvers since the beginning of its establishment and was absent this year.
Sudan Events asked a reliable military source about Sudan’s absence from the Red Wave maneuvers this year, and he said, “An invitation was not extended to Sudan to participate,” noting that the lack of invitation, in these circumstances, is a political message from many sides with the aim of pressuring Sudan to change its position in the negotiations and submit to the dictates of those parties.
