The General Coordination for Displaced Persons and Refugees in Darfur announced, on Thursday, the displacement of about 60% of the residents of the “Abu Shouk” camp in the city of El Fasher, fleeing the violations of the Rapid Support Militia (RSF) .
The spokesman for the Coordination of Displaced Persons and Refugees in Darfur, Adam Rijal, said, according to “Sudan Tribune,” that “since early Thursday morning, about 60% of the displaced people of Abu Shouk camp in El Fasher, especially the northern squares, have been displaced to unknown areas.”
It was revealed that the camp residents were subjected to widespread violations, including plunder, looting, and gunfire inside their homes by the RSF militia.
He noted that the new wave of displacement of Abu Shouk residents comes to escape the grave violations they are exposed to and the repeated targeting of the camp by random artillery shells.
