Moroccan Sufyan Rahimi, the Emirati star of Al Ain, increased the uncertainty about his future, amid increasing interest from Saudi clubs to include him during the summer of 2024.
“My contract continues with Al Ain, and I have all respect and appreciation for the club for which I play. There is one year remaining in the contract, and I am not currently thinking about anything else.” He said. “There are European and Gulf offers that have reached the club, but I cannot say anything now and I cannot specify a specific club at the present time. I may say one thing and then something else will happen. All the Saudi clubs and their fans are on my mind. When my contract expires then, I will think and choose.” He added.
Rahimi did great with Al Ain, as he led the Emirati team to win the AFC Champions League title for the first time in 21 years, which attracted the attention of the Saudi giants. Rahimi captured the spotlight, after scoring 13 goals in the tournament, at least 5 goals more than any other player, and he also won an award of The best player, whose contract with Al Ain expires at the end of June 2025.
