Revealing that the Militia had Kidnapped (107) children
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Qayyim Organization for Human Rights and Development has revealed in a recent statistic that the Rapid Support Militia has kidnapped about 107 children from the beginning of the year 2024 until now, according to reports it obtained from the families of the kidnapped people.
The organization explained that 42 children were kidnapped from Khartoum State, 34 from Gezira, and 31 from North Kordofan.
The organization accused the support militia of still adopting terrorist methods and carrying out the most horrific abuses against Sudanese children, including depriving them of services guaranteed by international laws and principles, persecuting and kidnapping numbers of them, placing them in prisons, and throwing others on the fighting fronts.
The organization called on the international community to take serious action to stop these crimes against childhood and all abuses that contradict all moral values and principles, international and humanitarian norms, and local laws. It also called for the militias to be included on the list of terrorist organizations for their involvement in committing grave violations against children in Sudan.
The organization confirmed that Sudanese children “are still living in tragic and extremely difficult conditions, and are suffering from death under militia bombardment and as a result of random registration, in addition to death from hunger and death from diseases and epidemics, all of which is a result of the war that was sparked by the Rapid Support militias.”
