Secrets of revelation, springs of childhood… Reflections on the poetic experience of artist Jamal Hassan Saeed
Abdul Latif Mujtaba writes…
As you are on your way towards new beginnings, you must have a wild imagination and a memory that is full of paradoxes and illogicality. Rather, you must have an innocence that carries your wings like a butterfly heading towards its fire with extreme love and gentleness, without thinking about the consequences. This is what increases access to the worlds of writing and insights. The poem of Jamal Hassan Saeed, who “suckles from the breast of revealing secrets,” in a language that comes from the worlds of childhood and is injected from a source full of mature visions, culture, knowledge, gratitude, and philosophy. Let us continue the reflections on the experience of the artist, the poet Jamal Hassan Saeed, in this third part:
Text after receiving:
From all these excerpts from Jamal’s worlds and his vast poetic spaces, you discover that they are full of traps and (dungeons). You are almost spared – whenever you enter them – from a linguistic game that leads you to spaces of philosophy, existential questions, and cognitive intersections that point to the founding sources of the poet’s memory and his experience, for which he chose innocence. Childhood is a gateway to dealing with an entity like poetry, with all its majestic history, rooted in human experience, and full of many great experiences in all its mother languages and translations. He also chose it to represent his style towards existence as a poet. So he poured into it the juices of what he saw of visions and human feelings.
School directions:
It is difficult to classify the poet Jamal Hassan Saeed’s experience through the topics he dealt with as romantic, lyrical, emotional, or even colloquial – despite its clear colloquial linguistic form – because of its specificity and deep impact that it leaves after the end of the process of reception and the moment of fresh tasting of the texts, where images, worlds, conditions, and aesthetic positions remain after the disappearance of the effect of the text’s relationships, language, pretexts, and artistic tricks that it used to bring us to those frontiers and experiential searches, where there are worlds beyond the text of philosophical visions, deep intellectual dialogues, and questions that the reader or listener carries after completing the stage of reception and pleasure, amazement and the transition to the stage of awareness and experience, which in turn is interconnected with the established knowledge and other life experiences, so that the respondent can hardly return it to the original meanings of the text or the source of the ideas that were established in his self-awareness before his dealings with the text in the worlds of the poet Jamal. You will find that Vocabulary/Intellectual and philosophical terms that are heavily present in the poet’s texts, for example the universe, the absolute nothingness, death and freedom.
