After (Alharib Alshalib).. Al-Candi Al-Amin participates in “The Last Warrior” in Jordan
Sudan Events: Magda Hassan
Due to the long hiatus from the war, the actor Al Candi Al-Amin had expressed fears that he had forgotten acting and the method of work, especially after the long suffering journey from Khartoum to Doha, passing through some states. However, his fears dissipated after he participated in a work during the last month of Ramadan, and followed it with a theatrical work during last week.
*The last warrior
Al-Candi Al-Amin presented the play (The Last Warrior), which is a theatrical work that reflects what is happening now in Sudan and calls for standing with the armed forces to defeat the militias and return the spirit to Sudan. Al-Candi said in an interview with the events that the work is taken from reality, and it is his idea and the preparation of the play and drama by Torg Ashraf Konouz, starring Al-Candi Al-Amin, directed by Khalafallah Amin, assisted in directing by Reem Al-Tayeb, and it was presented the day before yesterday at the 17th Annual Rituals Eve Festival in Jordan.
*War and paralysis
The Last Warrior is not Al-Candi’s first work since the outbreak of war or since his departure from Sudan. He worked in Doha during the last month of Ramadan in the series (Alharib Alshalib) with the artist Izdihar Muhammad Ali, the artist Reem Al-Ghaba, and a group of new Sudanese dramatists in Doha. It was shown on YouTube on the Izdihar channel. It was directed by photographer and editor Hossam.
*Reality drama
Al-Candi explained that the series, written by Muhammad Fazzari, talks about a Sudanese family displaced from the war in the city of Doha, Qatar, and the paradoxes that happen to them. It is a reality drama that reflects the social problems that happened to families during the war, and the series found great acceptance and viewing on YouTube.
*Support and thanks
Despite the difficulty of theatrical work under these circumstances, the play The Last Warrior found entities and people who provided support for it to come to light. Al-Candi explained that the military attaché in the State of Qatar, Yasser Al-Tayeb, did not hesitate to sponsor the play (The Last Warrior) and was the reason for raising the Sudanese flag at the festival forum in Jordan. Al-Candi confirmed that they will work to ensure that the name of Sudan remains present in all forums in the presence of people like Yasser Al-Tayeb, who loves his country, Sudan. He has thanks and appreciation. Thanks also to Issam Ayoub, the military attaché in the State of Jordan, who did not hesitate to serve us and gave me full attention.
* Business stops
Before that, the war stopped many of Al-Candi’s dramatic works. It stopped his series (Turuk Alrejoo), which was shown on Sudan TV and the Blue Nile Channel, where it stopped showing since episode 23, which is thirty episodes. He added: We were preparing to film the Eid movie, and I met on a number of channels with the cast of the series. All of this did not happen because of the war, and I fear that during the long period of interruption, our relationship with drama and theater will be severed: I have begun to miss the radio, television, and theatrical work that the war deprived us of, to the point that I begin to feel that I will never be able to act again, and I feel that I will not be able to impersonate other characters, and all of this is because of the damned war.
