(Taqaddum) Adopts a political Vision on Military and Security system
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddum) has adopted its political vision.
A member of the Taqaddum leadership body, Omar Al-Dakir, presented a paper related to stopping the war and establishing the state, at the founding conference of the coordination.
The paper emphasized the unity of Sudan as a people and land, and the establishment of a democratic civil state that stands at the same distance from religions, identities and cultures and recognizes diversity.
The paper called for the necessity of establishing and building a military and security system, in accordance with national interests and internationally agreed upon standards, while eliminating political, party, ethnic and regional empowerment in all military and security systems.
The paper approved the launch of a comprehensive justice and transitional justice process, ensuring accountability for crimes committed since the coup of June 30, 1989 until the war of April 15, 2023, including the handover of wanted persons to the International Criminal Court.
It emphasized that the justice process allows for compensation and redress.
