In memory of Al-Fadel Saeed, the first show creator
Sudan Events – Magda Hassan
The Sudanese Artists Association in Egypt is organizing a special night in memory of the late distinguished artist “Al-Fadil Saeed” about the characters of Al-Fadel Saeed. Presented by Prof. Saad Youssef Al-Obaid, interviewed by director Hatem Mohamed Ali, and moderated by critic Maysoon Abdel Hamid.
The evening will witness the presentation of a dramatic scene from Al-Fadel Saeed’s plays with the artist and actor Ihab Mahmoud.
On the other hand, the actor Al-Rashid Ahmed Issa announced his intention to present a night in memory of the spiritual father, Al-Fadil Saeed, and to present the character of Bit Quddaim.
“The Al-Fadel Saeed is the one who caused me to enter this magical world… Perhaps since childhood I had become fascinated with theatre, its worlds, its characters, and its rituals… I saw this magician when I was a child and then again as a teenager. Perhaps Eric Bentley says in his book Life in Drama that when a boy reaches the age of 17 and becomes fascinated with theatre, that is, in love with it, his family must immediately take him to an acting school… and indeed from that, my teacher Awad Muhammad Othman pointed out to me, when I was in middle school, said that my natural place was a new institution called the Institute of Music and Theater, and the reason for all of this was my spiritual father, the honorable Saeed, the maker of the first show in Sudan.. I will present a special night for the honorable Saeed, and I will present the character of Bit Qadim with a vision that restores the character in times of war.” He added.
