Poet and composer Haitham Abbas confirmed the success of small and the failure of big artists in singing at this stage.
“If they asked me about the repercussions of the year of war and its inevitable impact on the form of singing in an emergency, I would say that it rose as a value and an issue that has dimensions related to the survival of the Sudanese people on their land and the preservation of their honor and dignity, and through it the children succeeded and the adults failed, and on the other side of the equation it fell as a language, a context, and a melody through which the adults who chose to be as they were succeeded in silence and sometimes neutrality, which made them lose the value of their (lying) songs, which were a presence on the fields and arenas of beauty and love without actual principles that could serve the issues of their homelands, as it is the equation that seems inevitable.” Haitham said in a blog post on his Facebook page.
