Destruction of 150 Militia Vehicles in El Fasher

Sudan Events – Agencies

A military source revealed that the SAF and the joint force affiliated with the armed movements were able to destroy about 150 military vehicles belonging to the Rapid Support RSF Militia and seize another fully equipped one a month after the outbreak of clashes in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state.
He also spoke about the capture of a number of Rapid Support elements, including foreigners from Libya and Chad.
The source said, according to “Sudan Tribune” from El Fasher, on Wednesday, “The army and the joint force were able, within a month of the start of the fighting in the capital of North Darfur, to destroy about 150 vehicles belonging to the Rapid Support Forces RSF and seize 70 vehicles with their full equipment, and capture a group of snipers, including foreigners from Libya and Chad, who are being held at the headquarters of the joint force.”
He pointed out that the army and its allies are making progress on a daily basis on a number of fronts, and were able to restore stability to some markets operating in El Fasher, including the livestock and peace markets, in addition to the Naivasha market.
The source accused the militia of deliberately targeting civilian areas, which resulted in the killing of large numbers of citizens in the neighborhoods of “Dim Selk, Laffa Tagro, Tambasi, Al-Salam, Al-Mashiah, Al-Nasr, Abu Shouk” and others, noting that the areas that are subjected to daily shelling do not have any military manifestations, whether affiliated with the army or the joint force.
He believed that the attack on Al-Fasher aims to destroy the infrastructure and expel citizens from their homes in preparation for storming the city and looting government and private banks and citizens’ money and property.
He explained that the Rapid Support RSF Militia, in its attack on Al-Fasher, deliberately fired weapons that are prohibited from use in civilian areas, such as the 40-caliber cannons, the 120-caliber cannon, and the 107-caliber cannon, in addition to mortars, howitzers and other heavy weapons.
He spoke about arrangements to transfer patients and the injured to the Saudi Hospital and the Medical Corps, after the southern Al-Fasher Hospital went out of service following the attack on it by the Rapid Support Forces RSF and its destruction.
