The American network (CNN) revealed that satellite images showed that hundreds of towns and villages were razed to the ground in Darfur due to fires caused by the war.
It said that experts relied on data from satellites dedicated to detecting heat developed by the American space agency “NASA” documented 235 fires that broke out in cities and villages throughout Sudan since the beginning of the war in April 2023.
It indicated that more than 50 villages were burned repeatedly in areas of the Darfur region, indicating the intention of forced displacement and the commission of war crimes.
