On Music Day, musician Hossam Abdel Salam celebrated by greeting his teachers in the field of music.
“I am from Port Sudan, but I have spent more than half of my life in the city of Omdurman. There are many people who have preferences in life and in the field of music.” He said.
“These artist professors are among the people most credited with shaping my musical personality, for example, Mr. Magdy Flot, with a paper from him, I was accepted as a student at the Palace of Youth and Children despite the closing of registration and the start of studies in the year 1997, and I lived with him in the house and from him. I knew many details about the music.” Hossam posted a picture and commented.
“As for my honorable teacher Mamdouh, he was actually the main reason I settled in the capital. I learned from him what harmony means, what musical arrangement means, and what bass line means. For me and others, he is the father of modern musical arrangement in Sudan.” He added.
“I was very happy and lucky that the three of us became colleagues at Ahfad University for many years and founded the university orchestra together, and during that period I learned every day from their art, taste, and sophistication in dealing with people.” He continued.
“For those who do not know them, these are musicians with a very high level of craftsmanship and professionalism, without exaggeration. Each one of them on the guitar or flute is no less than star musicians around the world.” He said.
“The photo is from Omdurman in greeting to my very great teachers, Mamdouh Taher Farid and Magdy Saleh.” He concluded.
