Theater Ambassador Ali Mahdi was chosen as the head of the jury for the 19th International Free Theater Nights Festival and the Youth Free Theater Nights Festival in Jordan from June 29 to July 4, and he was the one who was chosen to be a distinguished Chairman of the Jury. Ali Mahdi’s biography was that he was an actor, writer and director, UNESCO Peace Artist, Secretary-General of the International Theater Commission “UNESCO”, President of the National Theater – Baqa Theater and President of the Baqa International Theater Festival founded in 1999, owner of the initiative to use the performing arts to promote peace – Theater in Conflict Areas. He also gave lectures and ran art workshops at Georgetown University, Washington University, the City University of New York, the University of London, Tokyo – Japan, and Shanghai – China.
Mahdi received the Sharjah UNESCO Prize for Arab Culture, which is given to those who contributed to spreading Arab culture and exchanging cultures.
