Displacement Journey :

An eyewitness reported that he saw dozens of girls running on the bridge linking the city of Sinja and the locality of Al-Dinder while waiting for the turn of the car that would take them to cross the place on the displacement journey that began from the city of Sinja to reach the city of Gedarif in the east of the country, and hundreds of citizens left the city on foot due to a shortage of vehicles and fuel.
The city of Gedarif is located (185) kilometers northeast of the locality of Al-Dinder, and is located (200) kilometers in the same direction from the city of Sinja.
The Rapid Support RSF Militia had launched an attack on Al-Dinder and looted citizens’ cars. Journalist Abdel Raouf Taha had appealed to the citizens of Gadarif, particularly those who own tractors and cars, to move and carry with them food, medicine, insulin in particular, ropes of loot, tea, oranges and dates, and to head to Al-Maqrah area to receive the families who left Umm Rakhma, who suffered a terrifying journey and severe hunger and need everything from water and bread, and they do not have money because their phones are either broken or looted. He said in an appeal to the people of Gedarif, “There are people riding in uncovered vehicles who need tarpaulins because it rained yesterday and it’s cold and hunger is severe.
There are vehicles that broke down on the road and need to be pulled.” He added, “The most tired people are those who are spread out on the road between the Dinder Bridge and Abu Rakhm on the roads since yesterday and the day before and there is no food, but the canal is close so they can drink from it. The children are crying in heartbreaking voices, because of hunger. The infants’ mothers do not have milk because of the severe hunger and they are unable to carry themselves. The number of those who have been displaced is estimated at more than 50,000.”
He continued, people have been looking at the sky since yesterday and are afraid of the rain. Oh Allah , let it be around us and not on us. The rain closes the road and increases the suffering, the weather is getting cold and hunger is getting worse. Some people are going to die of hunger.
We had 31 dates with us, and we gave 5 dates to diabetics. We had 21 dates left, and we distributed them to the children, one by one. , their joy was indescribable.
There is no… “There is something worse than children crying from hunger,” he said. “In Ab Rakhma, I bought two juice bottles for pregnant mothers because they had a drop in blood pressure and had been suffering from hunger and thirst for two days. I told them to drink it slowly because if the children saw it, they would say they wanted it but there was no money.
They were carrying the juice and were unable to stand or drink and let their children drink. I went back again and bought two bottles for diabetics and distributed one bottle to the children, dose by dose.”
