Social networking sites circulated a picture of the artist “Wad Al-Zein” with a comment stating that the artist participated in the conference of political and civil forces that was held on Saturday in Cairo.
However, the photo that sparked widespread controversy was proven to have nothing to do with the conference.
According to the artist Dafallah Al-Hajj, director of the “Camerata” band, the photo was the moment of Wad Al-Zein’s speech at a UNESCO meeting and has nothing to do with the Cairo conference.
Wad Al-Zein is considered one of the revolutionary artists and expresses his generation in an artistic form that finds acceptance.
